The new highlight for families on holiday in Zillertal is the “Almspielerei” playground, a true paradise for kids. The playground is easily reachable via the Eggalmbahn cable car.
You will find the new adventure playground around the mountain station at 1,950 metres above sea level. With different stations, kids can explore and learn whilst having fun. Cross the large pond by float or test your balance on the nine-metre-long slack line across the pond. The fresh spring water invites you and your kids to dip your feet. Your family will love many other wet attractions and the trail also teaches your kids more about alpine pastures and what makes them so special.
You will surely find a cosy, shady spot to unwind on one of the many lounge chairs, and the covered outdoor area invites you to enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama of the Zillertal mountains or treat yourself to a hard-earned break with coffee and cake at the Eggalm inn.
A very special adventure awaits youngsters on your family holiday in Hintertux. Mum and Dad can spend a leisurely day at the spa or go for a hike with your host, Frank, whilst kids take an exciting trip with your host Silvia. After your delicious breakfast with milk, cheese and butter made my local farmers, we head outside and take a trip to the alpine pasture. Past the peacefully grazing cows, we walk uphill to the alpine chalet where the farmer is already looking forward to your visit.
Silvia will teach you how to knead fresh bread dough - everyone can have a try and pop the bread you kneaded yourself into the oven. Whilst it’s baking, Silvia will show you how to make lemonade and syrups for juice. Then it’s time to play and explore the alpine pasture. The fresh mountain air makes you hungry - luckily the bread is ready to take out of the oven! Enjoy a piece with fresh farmhouse butter and homemade lemonade - you can even pack some for Mum and Dad if you like. Then you’ll head back to the Hotel Vierjahreszeiten on the hiking trail. When we get back, tell Mum and Dad about your fun day and everything you’ve learned!
